Realme: Share Internet Access via Bluetooth

If a laptop, tablet or older gadget paired with your Realme phone has no Wi-Fi option nearby, it can still get online through the Bluetooth link itself. Realme UI keeps this data-sharing permission switched off by default for every paired device, even after pairing succeeds. Without turning it on, the other device stays connected for file transfer or calls only, never for actual internet traffic.

Share Internet via Bluetooth from a Paired Device auf Realme

Realme phones can pass their mobile data or Wi-Fi connection to a device paired over Bluetooth, similar to classic Bluetooth tethering. This only works if the Internet Access permission for that specific paired device is switched on. Realme UI treats every paired device separately, so pairing alone never grants network access automatically.

This setting matters when a laptop, e-reader or smartwatch lacks its own Wi-Fi module or SIM slot but supports Bluetooth. Instead of using a Wi-Fi hotspot, the paired device tunnels its internet traffic through your phone's connection over Bluetooth. Speeds are noticeably lower than Wi-Fi tethering, so this fits light tasks like syncing, browsing or checking email, not streaming or large downloads.

To enable or check the setting, go to Tap on SettingsTap on BluetoothSelect a Paired deviceEnable or disable Internet Access. Toggle it on for the device that needs a connection.

If the paired device still shows no internet after enabling this, disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth pairing once. Turning off Internet Access again once you are done saves battery, since the phone keeps relaying data in the background while it stays active.

Frequently asked questions

Pairing only opens the Bluetooth link itself. Internet Access is a separate switch per device under Tap on SettingsTap on BluetoothSelect a Paired deviceEnable or disable Internet Access, and it stays off by default.
