Set Default Browser App auf Realme
When you install a new browser on a Realme phone, it does not automatically become the app that opens your links. Realme UI keeps a separate default apps list, and links from messages, emails or other apps only switch to your preferred browser once you update that setting manually.
This behavior comes from the App management section of the system settings. It controls which app opens a specific file type or link category by default, and Browser app is one of the categories listed there alongside phone, messaging and gallery defaults.
To change it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on App management ➔ Tap on Default apps ➔ Tap on Browser app ➔ Set the Default Browser app. Any browser you have installed, including Chrome, Firefox or Opera, appears in this list and can be selected as the new default.
If links still open in the old browser after this change, check that the app was not reset by a recent update or reinstall, since that can revert the default apps list. A full uninstall and reinstall of the browser sometimes clears a stuck default and is worth trying if the setting does not save.
