Set Default Launcher App auf Realme
The launcher controls your home screen layout, widgets and app shortcuts on a Realme phone. Installing a launcher from the Google Play Store does not automatically make it the active one. The system keeps running the previous launcher until you assign the new one as default inside the app settings.
This causes two common symptoms. Either the newly installed launcher never opens automatically, or the Home button keeps returning you to the old layout even after you switched apps once. Both point to the same cause: the default Home app entry still references the previous launcher.
Where to change it
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on App management ➔ Tap on Default apps ➔ Tap on Home app ➔ Set the Default Home/Launcher app. Select the launcher you want to use and confirm.
If only one launcher is installed, this menu will not show a selection list, since Android requires at least two Home apps to offer a choice. Uninstalling a launcher removes it from this list, and the system automatically falls back to the remaining one.
Switching back to the stock Realme UI launcher works the same way, just select it from the same list instead of a third-party app.
