Realme: Turn Off Developer Options

If Developer options keeps showing up in Settings long after you finished testing an app, or USB debugging stays active without you needing it, the toggle at the top of that menu is still switched on. Leaving it enabled can drain battery and leave sensitive options exposed to accidental taps.

Turn Off Developer Options auf Realme

Developer options on Realme phones stays visible in Settings until you switch off the toggle at the top of that specific menu. Unlike enabling it, which requires tapping the build number several times, disabling it only takes one tap once you know where the switch sits.

The menu holds settings for USB debugging, animation scaling and other test features. Leaving them active in the background does not usually break anything, but it can affect battery drain slightly and leaves options open that are easy to change by mistake, especially USB debugging.

To turn it off, follow this path: Tap on SettingsTap on Additional settingsTap on Developer optionsTurn Off Developer optionsTap on Back.

Once you flip the toggle at the top of the Developer options screen, the entire menu disappears from Additional settings again. It only reappears if you repeat the build number tap sequence in About phone. All settings inside the menu, including USB debugging, get reset to their defaults when you turn the toggle off.

Frequently asked questions
