Realme: Enable Developer Options in Settings

Hidden tools like USB debugging, force GPU rendering, or extended app logging stay out of reach until Developer options shows up in your Realme Settings menu. On Realme phones running Realme UI, this menu is hidden by default and only appears after a specific tap sequence on the build number. Without it, app testing, ADB connections, and some sync-related tweaks stay locked away.

Turn On Developer Options auf Realme

Realme hides Developer options by default because most of the switches inside are meant for app testing, not everyday use. A few settings, however, also affect things like data sync behavior and animation speed, which is why some users need to turn the menu on even without doing any development work.

The menu unlocks through a tap trick buried in the phone details. Open Tap on SettingsTap on About phoneTap on Version, then find the build number entry and Tap seven timeson Build number. A short message confirms the countdown and then confirms that developer mode is active.

Where it shows up afterward

Once enabled, Developer options appears as its own entry inside the main Settings list, usually near the bottom close to Additional settings or About phone, depending on the Realme UI layout on your device. From there you get access to USB debugging, animation scale controls, and background process limits.

When to leave it off

If you only need the menu for a single toggle, consider turning it off again afterward. Some options, like disabling app verification or forcing GPU rendering, can cause instability or battery drain if left active by accident.
