Change Device Name auf Realme
Every Realme phone ships with the model number as its device name, for example realme 7 or realme GT. This name is not just cosmetic. It shows up in Bluetooth device lists, Wi-Fi Direct transfers, hotspot names, and file-sharing apps like Nearby Share, wherever your phone identifies itself to other devices.
The setting lives under system information in Realme UI, not under connectivity settings, which is why many users struggle to find it. To change it, go to Settings ➔ About phone ➔ Device name, then enter a new name and tap Save.
A generic model number gets confusing fast if you own several Realme devices or connect to shared networks often. Giving the phone a personal name, like TechBone Phone, makes it instantly recognizable in pairing menus and shared folders.
Renaming the device does not affect stored data, apps, or accounts. It only changes how the phone presents itself to other devices and apps. If you use the phone mainly for personal use without frequent Bluetooth or file-sharing activity, this setting matters less, but it still helps when troubleshooting connections later.
