Auto Call for Emergency Services Number auf Realme
Realme's Emergency SOS feature is designed to call a preset emergency number once you trigger the SOS sequence with the power button and let the countdown finish. Whether that call actually goes out automatically depends on one toggle: Auto call emergency services number. With this option off, the phone still shows the SOS screen and countdown, but you have to tap the call button yourself to connect.
To check or change the behavior, open Tap on Settings ➤ Tap on Security ➤ Tap on Emergency SOS ➤ Tap on Emergency call. There you can enable or disable Auto call emergency services number and set the Default emergency services number that the phone dials once the countdown ends.
Both settings work together. Without a saved default number, the automatic call cannot go out even if the toggle is enabled. Auto call is most useful when you cannot speak or reach the screen, for example during a fall, since the call starts on its own after the countdown.
Turn the option off if you share the phone with kids or trigger the SOS sequence by accident, since an unwanted automatic call to emergency services can start a real dispatch.
