Realme: Turn Emergency Alerts On or Off

If your Realme phone keeps buzzing with alerts you never opted into, or if severe weather warnings suddenly stop showing up, the Wireless emergency alerts settings control which categories reach you. Extreme threats, Severe threats, and AMBER-style notices each have their own switch, tone, and vibration setting tucked inside Security. Missing one toggle is usually the reason alerts feel either too loud or completely silent.

Turn On/Off Emergency Alerts auf Realme

Emergency alerts on a Realme phone come through the carrier network, not through a regular notification channel. That is why they can override Do Not Disturb and still play a tone even on silent mode.

Realme UI splits these messages into separate categories: Extreme threats, Severe threats, and AMBER-style alerts. Each category has its own switch for the alert itself, plus independent options for a reminder and vibration.

To reach the controls: Tap on SettingsTap on SecurityTap on Wireless emergency alertsEnable or disable Allow alerts. Inside that screen, open each alert type individually to switch it on or off and adjust vibration or reminder behavior for that category alone.

Turning off a category stops that specific type of message from appearing and sounding, but it does not affect the others. If you only want to reduce the volume or vibration intensity instead of blocking alerts completely, check the general notification and sound settings first, since Wireless emergency alerts only controls whether the category is allowed at all, not its volume level.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Each category under Wireless emergency alerts has its own toggle, so turning off AMBER-style alerts leaves Extreme threats and Severe threats untouched.
