Realme: Remove Stored Face Data

If Face Unlock keeps popping up even though you no longer want facial recognition active on your Realme phone, the scanned face model is still stored in the security settings. Removing it turns off Face Unlock completely and clears the saved biometric data, but the deletion has to be confirmed with your Pattern, PIN or Password. Without one of those backup unlock methods set up, the face data cannot be deleted at all.

Delete Face Data auf Realme

Face Unlock on Realme phones relies on a face model that Realme UI stores locally under the biometric security settings. This model stays saved even if you stop using Face Unlock as your main screen lock, which is why the option keeps showing up until it is actively removed.

To delete it, go to SettingsPassword & biometricsFaceDeleteDelete to confirm. Realme UI asks for your Pattern, PIN or Password before the face data is erased, since biometric changes always require the backup unlock method for verification.

Once deleted, the phone falls back to whichever unlock method you set up (Pattern, PIN or Password) and Face Unlock disappears from the lock screen options until a new face is registered.

If Face Unlock feels unreliable but you still want to use it, re-registering the face under the same menu is often a better fix than deleting it outright. Deleting the data only makes sense when facial recognition should stop being an unlock option entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Biometric changes on Realme UI always require confirmation through the backup unlock method. This prevents someone from removing your face data without knowing your Pattern, PIN or Password.
