Add Another Fingerprint auf Realme
Realme UI treats each fingerprint as a separate biometric template stored in a secure hardware element on the device.
When only one finger is registered, any change in skin condition, sensor angle, or moisture can cause repeated failed scans, forcing you back to a PIN or password every time you try to unlock the phone.
Adding more fingerprints spreads that risk across several fingers, so payment apps, App Lock, and Private Safe keep authenticating smoothly even if your main finger is temporarily unreadable.
To enroll another finger, open Settings ➔ Password & biometrics ➔ Fingerprint ➔ Add a fingerprint, then place the finger on the sensor and follow the on-screen instructions until the scan finishes.
Realme UI supports fingerprints from both hands, which is useful if you often switch grip or wear a glove on one side.
If scanning fails across all enrolled fingers, the cause is more likely a dirty or scratched sensor, a screen protector interfering with the reader, or a sensor fault rather than missing enrollments.
In that case, cleaning the sensor area or checking the screen protector fixes the issue faster than adding more fingerprints.
