Realme: Delete a Saved Fingerprint

If an old fingerprint still unlocks your Realme phone after you sold it, lent it out, or just added too many entries, the fingerprint list under Password & biometrics needs a cleanup. Leftover prints from previous users or unused fingers keep unlock access open even after you change your screen lock. Realme UI keeps every registered fingerprint active until you delete it manually.

Delete a Fingerprint auf Realme

Every fingerprint you enroll on a Realme phone stays active until you remove it, even after you change your screen lock or PIN. That is why an old print from a previous owner, a family member, or a finger you no longer use can still unlock the device.

The fingerprint sensor in Realme UI treats each saved print as an independent key. Deleting one does not affect the others, so you can keep your own fingerprints while removing entries that no longer belong there.

Where to delete a fingerprint

Open SettingsPassword & biometricsFingerprint. Confirm your current screen lock method first, since Realme UI requires it before showing the fingerprint list. Tap the entry you want to remove, select Delete, then confirm with Delete again.

If you plan to sell or hand over the phone, remove every fingerprint and set a new screen lock afterward. Removing fingerprints alone does not reset other security settings such as Face unlock or the lock screen password.

Frequently asked questions

No. Realme UI always asks for the current screen lock before opening the fingerprint list under Password & biometrics, and that step cannot be skipped.
