Unlock App Lock with Fingerprint auf Realme
App lock on Realme phones is set up to accept a privacy password by default. Fingerprint unlock exists as an alternative, but it is switched off until you enable it manually in the security settings.
This matters because a privacy password is a prerequisite. If you have never created one, the fingerprint option for App lock will not show up at all, since the system needs a fallback method in case the sensor fails to read your finger.
Where to enable it
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Password & biometrics ➔ Tap on Fingerprint ➔ Tap on Use fingerprint for ➔ Enable or disable App lock. Once enabled, locked apps accept either your fingerprint or the privacy password, whichever is faster in the moment.
If your fingerprint sensor is unreliable, misaligned, or you share the device with someone else, keeping password-only entry active for App lock can be the safer choice. Fingerprint unlock speeds up daily use but always falls back to the privacy password when the sensor cannot verify you.
