Realme: Show or Hide the Gesture Guide Bar

When gesture navigation is active on your Realme phone, a thin gesture guide bar sits at the bottom of the screen by default. Some users find it distracting or notice it overlapping content in full-screen apps and games. Swiping left or right on that spot still switches between recent apps, even once the bar is hidden.

Show or Hide Gesture Guide Bar auf Realme

The gesture guide bar shows up once you switch to full gesture navigation instead of the classic three-button layout. Realme UI adds this thin line at the bottom of the display to mark where swipe gestures start and end, and it doubles as a shortcut zone for jumping between recently used apps.

In full-screen apps, videos, or games the bar can feel like an extra visual layer once you are used to the gestures. Hiding it does not remove the gesture zone itself, only the visible line, so swiping left or right along the bottom edge still switches between your last used apps.

To change this, open SettingsConvenience toolsNavigation and enable or disable Hide gesture guide bar. Turning this on removes the line from view; turning it off brings the guide bar back for anyone who prefers a visual reference point.

If you use three-button navigation instead of gestures, this setting has no effect, since the guide bar only exists inside gesture navigation mode.
