Turn On/Off Google Backup auf Realme
Google backup on Realme runs through the system-level Back up and reset menu, separate from any backup toggle inside individual apps. When this function is off, photos, call history, app data and Wi-Fi passwords stop syncing to your Google account, even if you still see storage used on Drive from an earlier backup.
Turn it on or off here: Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Back up and reset ➔ Enable or disable Back up my data.
A backup only starts automatically once a Google account is actually selected as the backup account on this screen. If no account is set, the toggle can look active while nothing gets uploaded. After enabling it, the first backup usually runs shortly after, then repeats at regular intervals whenever the phone is idle, charging and connected to Wi-Fi.
Turning the option off stops future syncs but does not delete backups already stored on Google Drive. If you are switching phones, keeping this enabled a few hours before the reset helps make sure the latest data is captured. If sync still fails after enabling it, check your Google account storage and your Wi-Fi connection rather than the toggle itself.
