Change Keyboard Layout in Gboard auf Realme
On Realme phones running Realme UI, the keyboard layout is set automatically based on the system language or region chosen during setup. That is why a German or Swiss layout sometimes appears with umlauts (ä, ö, ü) even if you prefer a plain QWERTY layout, or why a second language uses the wrong key arrangement.
This setting lives inside Gboard, the default keyboard app, not in the general system language menu. Changing the system language does not automatically fix the keyboard layout, because both settings are managed separately.
Where to change it
Open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Keyboard & input method ➔ Gboard ➔ Languages. Select the keyboard language you want to adjust, then pick the layout you need and confirm with Done.
If you use several languages, each one keeps its own layout setting, so you can mix a plain layout for one language with an umlaut layout for another. If letters are still missing after switching, remove the language entry completely and add it again with the correct layout, since a corrupted language pack can sometimes ignore the layout change until reinstalled.
If a third-party keyboard app is installed and active, this Gboard setting has no effect; check the input method switch first.
