Realme: Show Number Row on the Keyboard

Typing a password or address on your Realme phone often means switching back and forth to the number pad just for a single digit. That extra tap slows down every message with dates, codes or amounts. A hidden Gboard setting adds a permanent row of digits above the letters so you never leave the main keyboard layout.

Turn On/Off Number Row auf Realme

Gboard on Realme phones hides the number row by default to keep the keyboard compact. Once enabled, digits 0 to 9 appear as a separate line above the letter keys, so you no longer need to switch to the symbol keyboard for basic numbers.

This setting lives inside the keyboard preferences, not in the general system settings, which is why many users never come across it. To turn it on or off, follow this path:

Tap on SettingsTap on Additional settingsTap on Keyboard & input methodTap on GboardTap on PreferencesEnable or disable Number row

Once active, the number row stays visible across all apps that use Gboard, including messaging, browsers and notes. The keyboard becomes slightly taller, which can reduce space on smaller screens in landscape mode.

If you type numbers only occasionally, leaving the row off keeps the keyboard more compact. For frequent use of PINs, prices or verification codes, enabling it saves a noticeable number of taps per day.

This option only affects Gboard. If you use a different keyboard app, look for a similar preference inside that app instead of the Realme system settings.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, as long as the app uses Gboard as its keyboard. Apps that rely on a custom or third-party keyboard will not show the number row from this setting.
