Realme: Turn Off Gboard Offensive Word Blocking

Gboard on Realme phones ships with a built-in filter that blocks potentially offensive word suggestions while you type. It works alongside autocorrect and text prediction, silently removing certain words from the suggestion bar even if you type them correctly. This is meant to prevent accidental slurs or vulgar autocorrections, but it can also flag slang, brand names, or technical terms that have nothing to do with offensive language.

The setting lives in the keyboard's text correction menu, separate from general autocorrect options. Turning it off does not disable autocorrect itself, it only stops the keyboard from filtering out flagged words from suggestions.

To change it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Keyboard & input method ➔ Tap on Gboard ➔ Tap on Text correction ➔ Enable or disable Block offensive words.

If you frequently type technical vocabulary, usernames, or words in another language that get mistaken for offensive terms, disabling this toggle restores full suggestions. If you share your phone with kids or prefer stricter filtering, leave it enabled.
