Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Scanning for Location Accuracy auf Realme
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning is a location feature separate from the actual Wi-Fi or Bluetooth toggles on your Realme phone. Even with both radios switched off, the system can still scan for nearby networks and devices to refine your GPS position, especially indoors or between tall buildings where satellite signal is weak.
Apps and system services with location permission can use this data. That means location accuracy improves in places where GPS alone struggles, but it also means scanning keeps running in the background and drawing a small amount of battery, even when you think Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are fully disabled.
Turn the feature off if you want Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to stay completely inactive once switched off, or if you prefer apps to rely on GPS only. Turn it on if you regularly use location-based apps such as maps or delivery tracking and want faster, more precise positioning indoors.
Menu path
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning ➔ Turn On/Off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning. Toggling this off does not disable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth themselves, only their use for location detection.
