Set Default Keyboard auf Realme
When a newly installed keyboard app does not appear as the active input method on your Realme phone, Realme UI is still pointing to the previous default. Downloading an app from the Google Play Store only installs it, it does not automatically replace the keyboard you already use for typing.
Before you can switch, the new keyboard has to be enabled as an input method. Once it shows up in the input method list, you can pick it as the default keyboard from the language and input settings.
Open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Keyboard & input method ➔ Current keyboard and choose the keyboard you want under Set the Default keyboard.
If the keyboard you want is not listed under Current keyboard yet, it still needs to be activated in the input method list first, before it can be selected as default. Once switched, the new keyboard takes over immediately in every app that uses text input, from messaging apps to browsers.
Switching back to the previous keyboard works the same way, so trying out a new one does not risk your existing typing setup. If typing problems continue after switching, check whether the keyboard app itself needs extra permissions or a restart.
