Auto-Disable Personal Hotspot When Idle auf Realme
The personal hotspot on a realme phone can stay active for as long as you like, even if no other device is using it. That wastes battery and leaves the connection open to anyone nearby who knows the password.
Realme UI includes a setting that shuts the hotspot down on its own once it has been idle for about 10 minutes. Idle means no phone, tablet or laptop is currently connected to it. As soon as one device joins, the timer resets and the hotspot stays on for as long as that connection lasts.
To find the option, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Connection & sharing ➔ Tap on Personal hotspot ➔ Enable or disable Automatically turn off personal hotspot when idle.
Turning this on is useful if you activate the hotspot for a quick file transfer or a short session and often forget to switch it off afterward. Turning it off makes sense if you rely on the hotspot for background syncing on another device that reconnects at irregular intervals, since a strict timeout could cut that connection unexpectedly.
The setting has no effect while at least one device stays connected, so it will not interrupt an active session.
