Realme: Change Your Privacy Password

If your privacy password still uses the PIN you picked during setup, or you want to switch to a pattern or a longer password instead, you don't have to reset hidden apps or the private safe first. On Realme UI, the privacy password protects separate features from your screen lock, and updating it keeps everything you already hid in place.

Change Privacy Password auf Realme

The privacy password on Realme UI works independently from your screen lock. It protects hidden apps, the private safe, and any other content you chose to keep out of sight. Changing it does not remove or reset anything already hidden.

Open SettingsPassword & biometricsPrivacy passwordChange password. You need to confirm your current privacy password first before Realme UI lets you set a new one.

After that confirmation, pick the type you want going forward: pattern, PIN, or password. This choice does not have to match your screen lock method. Follow the on-screen prompts and enter the new code twice for confirmation.

If you forgot the current privacy password, Realme UI usually offers a recovery step tied to your Realme account or a security question during confirmation. Without that recovery option, hidden content stays locked until you regain access through your account or reset the device.

Using a different code than your screen lock adds a real layer of protection. Even if someone unlocks your phone, hidden apps and the private safe stay closed behind the separate privacy password.
