Add Recovery Email for Privacy Password auf Realme
The privacy password on Realme phones protects the private safe, hidden apps and locked files. If you forget it, the phone cannot confirm who you are unless a recovery email is already linked to that password.
Realme UI stores this recovery email separately from your Google account or phone number. Without it saved beforehand, the Forgot password button on the lock screen has nothing to verify against, so the reset process cannot start.
To add the email before you get locked out, open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Password & biometrics ➔ Tap on Privacy password ➔ Tap on Recovery email ➔ Set a Recovery email and tap on Save.
Use an address you can check quickly, since Realme sends a verification code there when you actually need to reset the password. If the address changes later, update it in the same menu so you do not lock yourself out again.
This step only works while you still remember your current privacy password. If you have already forgotten it and never set a recovery email, a factory reset stays the only way to regain access to the private safe.
