Realme: Reset Your Phone to Factory Settings

If your Realme phone runs slow, freezes constantly, or you are getting it ready to sell, a factory reset wipes every trace of data and puts the software back to its delivery state. This deletes linked Google accounts, installed apps, system data and all photos, videos and documents for good. Once the process starts it cannot be reversed, so back up anything you need before you begin.

Factory Reset via Settings auf Realme

A factory reset on Realme phones removes every user account, app and file, then reinstalls the original software state as it left the factory. This includes linked Google accounts, downloaded apps, saved photos and videos, documents, and all app-specific data stored on the device.

When a reset makes sense

Use this option when the phone runs slow after months of use, when you plan to sell or hand over the device, or when persistent software glitches do not go away with a simple restart. If only one app misbehaves, clearing that app's cache or data is usually enough and does not require wiping the whole phone.

How to start the erase

Open the menu path: Tap on SettingsTap on Additional settingsTap on Back up and resetTap on Erase all data (factory reset)Tap on Erase all dataTap on Erase data.

Confirm your PIN or fingerprint when asked. The phone restarts automatically once the erase finishes and boots into the initial setup screen, the same one you saw when you first unboxed the device.

Before you confirm, make sure any photos, chats or documents you want to keep are already backed up, since none of this data can be restored afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Realme phones with an active Google account enable Factory Reset Protection. After the erase you must sign in with the same Google account that was on the device before, or setup will not continue.
