Realme: Restart Your Smartphone the Right Way

If your realme phone feels sluggish, apps take longer to open, or the touchscreen reacts with a delay, a restart is often the fastest fix. Android and Realme UI accumulate background processes, cached data and pending updates over time, and these can slow down the whole system.

A restart closes every running app, clears temporary memory and applies any updates or settings changes that are still pending. This is different from a full factory reset - your photos, apps and accounts stay untouched.

To restart your realme smartphone: Press and hold the Power button ➔ Drag the Button upwards ➔ Release the Button to restart the device. The screen goes dark for a few seconds before the realme logo appears again.

If the touchscreen does not respond at all, a restart alone might not help - a forced restart or a hardware check could be needed instead. A restart also will not fix problems tied to one specific app; clearing that app's cache or reinstalling it usually works better in that case.

Restarting occasionally, for example once a week, keeps background tasks and memory usage under control without affecting your saved data or settings.
