Change Screen Lock Pattern, PIN or Password auf Realme
On a Realme phone running Realme UI, the screen lock method is not something you switch off to edit. Instead, the system keeps a dedicated option inside the security settings that lets you swap a pattern for a PIN, or set a new password, while the phone stays protected the whole time.
To find it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Password & biometrics ➔ Tap on Lock screen password ➔ Tap on Modify password and follow the on-screen instructions. You'll need to confirm your current PIN, pattern or password before the system lets you set a new one.
Changing the lock method usually does not remove fingerprint or face data already registered on the device. If you switch to a different type of lock, for example from a pattern to a password, the phone may still ask you to re-confirm biometrics once to keep them linked to the new credential.
If you can't remember your current screen lock at all, this menu path won't help since it requires entering the existing credential first. In that case, a factory reset through recovery mode is the only reliable fix, and it will erase data unless a backup exists.
Keep in mind that raising the security level, for instance moving from a swipe pattern to a longer password, can reset Smart Lock features tied to trusted places or devices, so double-check those settings afterward.
