Set Up Screen Lock with Pattern, PIN or Password auf Realme
Realme UI groups all lock screen options in the same security menu, but the four methods do not offer equal protection. A swipe or no lock at all leaves stored data, banking apps and messages open to anyone holding the device.
To add a barrier, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Password & biometrics ➔ Tap on Set Lock screen password ➔ Tap on Continue ➔ Choose the Unlock methodand follow the instructions on screen. From there you pick between a Pattern, a 4-digit PIN, a longer 4-16 digit password, or an alphanumeric password with 4-16 characters.
A Pattern unlocks fastest but is easier to guess from smudges on the screen. A 4-digit PIN is quick to enter and works well for daily use. A longer PIN or an alphanumeric password takes more time to type but resists brute-force guessing and is the better choice if the phone stores payment apps or work accounts.
Fingerprint or face unlock can be added afterwards, but Realme UI still requires one of these four methods as a fallback. If you forget the pattern, PIN or password, you need the Google account linked to the device or a factory reset to regain access, so keep the credentials somewhere safe.
