Show or Hide Password Characters While Typing auf Realme
On a Realme phone, each character you type into a password field appears briefly before it is replaced by a dot or asterisk. This short flash lets you confirm you typed the right character, while the dot afterward keeps the password hidden from anyone glancing at your screen.
Realme UI controls this behavior through a single privacy toggle. Turning it off removes the brief flash entirely, so every character turns into a dot the instant you type it. This lowers the risk of shoulder-surfing in public places, but it also makes it harder to catch a typo before you submit a login form.
You find the toggle here: Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Privacy ➔ Enable or disable Show password.
This setting works at the system level, so it applies across most apps that use the standard Android password field, not just one app. If a specific app still reveals passwords with its own eye icon, that behavior comes from the app itself and is not controlled by this Realme setting.
If your main concern is a specific app rather than the whole system, check that app's own password field for a visibility icon before changing the system-wide toggle.
