Realme: Customize the Smart Sidebar

If the Smart Sidebar on your Realme phone only shows a handful of default apps, or the icons feel randomly ordered, the shortcut list simply has not been adjusted yet. Realme UI lets you add, reorder or remove Quick accesses individually, and the sidebar scrolls, so there is no fixed limit on how many shortcuts you keep. Getting the layout right just means finding the edit mode most people never open.

Customize Smart Sidebar Shortcuts auf Realme

The Smart Sidebar on Realme phones stores a scrollable list of app and function shortcuts that stay reachable from any screen. By default it only shows a small preset, which is why the tool often looks unfinished until you edit it yourself.

To adjust it, open the sidebar handle on the edge of the screen and go to Open the Smart SidebarTap on Add/Edit. From here you reach the editing view where every current shortcut is listed together with all available apps and tools.

Inside this view you can Add, move or remove Quick accesses. Adding a shortcut pulls an app or function into the sidebar list, removing one takes it out again, and dragging an icon up or down changes its position in the scroll order.

Because the sidebar scrolls, there is no practical cap on how many shortcuts you keep active. Once the list matches what you actually use, confirm with Tap on Done to save the layout.

If the sidebar itself does not appear at all, the feature toggle further up in the settings may be switched off rather than just poorly arranged. In that case check the general Smart Sidebar activation before editing shortcuts.

Frequently asked questions

There is no fixed limit. The sidebar list scrolls, so you can keep adding shortcuts through Tap on Add/Edit and they simply stack below the visible area.
