Manually Check for Software Updates auf Realme
Realme phones run a background service that periodically contacts the update server and downloads new firmware notifications automatically. This check depends on network availability, battery state, and a schedule set by the system, so it doesn't always run the moment a new version is released.
If you want to confirm your current status right away instead of waiting for a push notification, you can trigger the check manually. Open Settings ➔ Software update. The screen shows your current version and starts a fresh check against the server as soon as you enter it.
If an update is available, you'll see details about the new version and the option to download it. If your system is already current, the screen confirms that no update is pending. A manual check is useful after a known update announcement, after a factory reset, or when you suspect the automatic check missed its window due to a weak connection.
Downloading larger updates over mobile data can use significant data allowance, so connecting to Wi-Fi first is worth doing before starting the download. After installation, the phone restarts once to apply the changes.
