Realme: Turn Screenshot Sound On or Off

Every screenshot on your Realme phone triggers a camera-shutter sound, even in a quiet room or meeting. If that confirmation tone keeps catching you off guard, or you simply want it back after muting it, the switch sits in the sound and haptic settings rather than in the general notification menu.

Screenshot Sound On or Off auf Realme

Realme UI plays a short shutter sound whenever you capture a screenshot. This is a system-level confirmation tone, separate from your ringtone or notification sounds, so muting your phone or turning on Do Not Disturb does not silence it.

The toggle lives inside the extended sound settings, not in the main Sound & vibration screen. That is why it is easy to miss when you are looking for a general mute option.

Where to find the toggle

Open Tap on SettingsTap on Sound & vibrationTap on More sounds & hapticsEnable or disable Screenshot sound. Switching it off stops the shutter sound immediately, without affecting other system sounds like keyboard clicks or charging tones.

Turning it back on works the same way. Flip the same switch again, and the confirmation tone returns on your next screenshot.

If you want quiet only during specific hours, a scheduled Focus mode or Do Not Disturb profile is a better fit than permanently disabling the sound, since it also covers calls and notifications at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

No. The Screenshot sound switch inside More sounds & haptics only controls the shutter tone. Keyboard sounds, charging tones, and notification sounds stay untouched.
