Turn Auto-correction On or Off auf Realme
Auto-correction is a Gboard function that rewrites words while you type, based on a dictionary and your previous typing patterns. On a Realme phone running Realme UI it is enabled by default, which speeds up typing for most people but causes problems for names, dialect words, code snippets or foreign-language terms.
You control this behavior in the Gboard settings, not in the general Realme system settings. Follow this path:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Keyboard & input method ➔ Tap on Gboard ➔ Tap on Text correction ➔ Enable or disable Auto-correction
Turning the toggle off stops Gboard from silently replacing what you typed. It still shows suggestions above the keyboard, but nothing changes unless you tap a suggestion yourself.
Turning it back on is useful if you type fast and mostly write standard words, since it removes minor typos without extra taps. If only specific words keep getting changed, adding them to your personal dictionary is often a better fix than disabling Auto-correction completely.
