Double-space Period Toggle (Gboard) auf Realme
On Realme phones, tapping the space bar twice normally inserts a period followed by a space, then capitalizes the next letter automatically. This behavior comes from the Gboard keyboard itself, not from a system-wide typing feature, so it only works while Gboard is set as your active input method.
The setting lives inside Gboard's text correction options. When it is turned off, double-tapping the space bar just adds two blank spaces, and you have to reach for the period key manually to close a sentence.
To change it, go to Tap on Settings ➤ Tap on Additional settings ➤ Tap on Keyboard & input method ➤ Tap on Gboard ➤ Tap on Text correction ➤ Enable or disable Double-space period. The toggle applies right away, no restart needed.
Pair this with automatic capitalization in the same menu. Once both are active, ending one sentence and starting the next takes a single double-tap on the space bar, which matters most in chat apps and note-taking.
If the shortcut still does not work after enabling it, check whether a third-party keyboard app has replaced Gboard as the default input method. The setting only affects Gboard; other keyboards handle this shortcut separately, if they support it at all.
