This tool changes how touch gestures behave, since swipes are used to move between elements rather than to scroll directly.
Magnification and zoom tools
Magnification tools let you enlarge parts of the screen temporarily, either by triple-tapping an area or by using a floating window that follows your finger. This is different from simply increasing font size, because it enlarges everything on screen, including icons and images, not just text. It works well for short lookups but is less practical for continuous reading.

Color correction modes adjust how certain color ranges are rendered, which helps users with color vision deficiencies distinguish elements that otherwise look too similar, such as red and green status icons. High contrast text and inverted color options increase the difference between text and background, which benefits users sensitive to glare or low-contrast interfaces. These settings are independent from color correction and can be combined depending on the specific visual difficulty.
Motion, animation, and remove animations
Reducing or removing animations is listed under vision accessibility because fast transitions and moving elements can be disorienting for some users with visual processing difficulties, not only for motion sensitivity in general. Turning this off keeps screen transitions instant and static, which some users find easier to track.
Choosing the right combination
Most people do not need every tool active at once. Someone with mild farsightedness might only need larger text and bold text, while someone with significant low vision may combine magnification, high contrast, and reduced animations. Testing one feature at a time makes it easier to notice which change actually improves daily use, rather than adjusting several settings simultaneously and losing track of what helped.
One practical caveat: some third-party apps do not fully support display size changes or high contrast text, which can cause text truncation or misaligned buttons in those specific apps.
