Allow or Block Apps From Scanning for Wi-Fi Networks auf Realme
Scanning always available is a background function in Realme UI that lets the location service and installed apps search for nearby Wi-Fi networks, regardless of whether Wi-Fi itself is turned on. This helps apps determine your location faster and more accurately, since Wi-Fi signals often pinpoint a position better than GPS alone, especially indoors.
The downside is reduced battery life and less control over which apps access network scan data in the background. If you prefer that no app or service detects nearby networks without your Wi-Fi being active, you can disable this option.
How to change the setting
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Tap on Advanced settings ➔ Enable or disable Scanning always available.
Switching it off stops background scanning entirely. Apps that rely heavily on Wi-Fi-based positioning, like maps or fitness trackers used indoors, may then show less precise locations. If accuracy matters more than battery savings, leave the feature enabled and instead restrict location permissions for individual apps.
