Realme: Connect to a Wi-Fi Network via WPS

Entering a 20-character router password on a phone keyboard is a common source of typos, especially when the password mixes upper and lower case letters with symbols. Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) skips that step entirely: your phone and the router exchange a security key automatically once you press the physical button on the router.

On a Realme phone, the WPS option sits inside the advanced Wi-Fi menu, not on the main Wi-Fi screen, so many people never notice it. Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Tap on Advanced settings ➔ Tap on WPS connection ➔ Choose WPS connection, then press the WPS button on the router within about two minutes. The phone connects automatically once the handshake completes, no password entry needed.

WPS only works if the router has this feature enabled and the button is physically accessible. Some routers hide the toggle in their admin interface or disable it by default for security reasons. If nothing happens after pressing the button, check the router configuration first before assuming the phone is at fault.

This method is not available for networks with a login page, and some routers restrict WPS to the 2.4GHz band only. In these cases, manual password entry or a QR code scan remains the reliable option.
