Realme: Resize a Home Screen Widget

Some widgets on your Realme home screen look cramped or waste too much space, and the size seems locked unless you know where to grab it. Not every widget supports resizing, and each one has its own minimum size it will not shrink below. Getting the resize border to actually appear is often the tricky part.

Resize a Widget auf Realme

Home screen widgets on Realme UI do not have one fixed size. Each widget carries its own resizing frame, but not every widget type supports every size. Some only offer two or three fixed dimensions, others allow free dragging within a minimum and maximum limit.

Resizing happens directly on the widget itself, not through a settings menu. Hold down on the widget until a border with drag handles appears, then pull those handles to the size you want.

To resize a widget: Tap and hold a WidgetDrag the Borders to resize the WidgetTap on a Free area to exit. Lifting your finger locks the widget at that new size.

If the widget snaps back to its old size right after you let go, the home screen usually does not have enough free grid space around it. Move other icons or widgets out of the way first, then repeat the drag.

Some widgets, especially simple shortcut-style ones, do not support resizing at all. The border will not appear when you hold them, no matter how long you wait. In that case, check the widget drawer for a larger variant of the same app instead of trying to force a resize.

That widget only ships in one fixed size. Not every app offers a resizable widget variant, so Tap and hold a Widget will not show any drag handles in that case.
