Turn Sticker Suggestions On or Off
Stickers and emoji suggestions from Bitmoji or mojitok can pop up every time you type on a Samsung keyboard, even in apps where you don't want them. This happens because sticker suggestions run as a separate function from regular word prediction. You can also choose which apps are allowed to show these suggestions.
Turn On/Off Dialing Keypad Vibration
If every digit you tap on the dial pad triggers a buzz you don't want, or the phone stays silent when you expect haptic feedback, the dialing keypad vibration setting is behind it. This option controls whether Samsung phones give a short vibration for each key press while dialing a number. It sits under the general vibration controls, separate from ringtone or notification vibration.
Add Emergency Contacts
If your phone is locked during an emergency, nobody can reach the people you trust unless they are saved as emergency contacts. Samsung ties this list to your Contacts profile, not to your regular address book, so numbers you already have saved will not show up on their own. Without this setup, SOS messages and lock-screen emergency calls have nobody to go to.
Make a Phone Call from the Dialer
If you are not sure how to start a call on your Samsung phone, the process runs through the dialer keypad, not just the contacts list. A missing or inactive SIM card is the most common reason a call will not connect, even when the number is entered correctly. Once the SIM is active, both manually typed numbers and saved contacts work the same way.
Turn On or Off Automatic QR Code Scanning
If your Samsung camera no longer picks up QR codes while you're in normal photo mode, the automatic QR scanning function is probably switched off. Automatic or Unicode mode prevents that, but it can affect how many messages you get billed for.
Copy a Text Message
Retyping a message just to paste an address, a code, or a link somewhere else costs time and often introduces typos. On Samsung phones the Messages app lets you grab the exact text of any message and copy it to your clipboard for reuse in another app.
Quick Launch Camera via Side Key
Double-pressing the Side key should open the Camera app straight from the lock screen, but on some Samsung phones nothing happens or a different app launches instead. This shortcut lives in the Side key settings and often gets reset after a software update or a factory reset. A short check in Advanced features usually brings it back.
Add a Printer by IP Address
If a printer never shows up in Samsung's Default Print Service, that model is likely not supported by the built-in driver list. If your videos look shaky despite recording handheld, or clips from the main camera suddenly seem oddly smoothed and slightly cropped, Video stabilization is the setting behind it. Unlike the data limit, this feature only sends a notification and leaves your connection running.
