Show or Hide Calendar Week Numbers
If your Samsung Calendar does not show which calendar week you are currently viewing, the week number display is probably switched off. If your Secure Folder still carries its default label and icon, anyone glancing at your app list can spot exactly what it hides. Samsung lets you rename it and swap the icon for something less obvious, but the icon options are limited to presets and the initial letter of your chosen name. Switch Between 12-Hour and 24-Hour Time Format

Uninstall Secure Folder
Secure Folder can't just be deleted from your Samsung phone - it has to be uninstalled through its own settings menu. Confirming the uninstall wipes everything stored inside it, including apps, photos, contacts and documents. Once removed, you can set up a new Secure Folder from scratch later.
Change Timer Volume
The timer alarm on Samsung phones ignores the physical volume buttons and the usual sound settings, because it runs through its own separate slider. Users often turn up media or ringtone volume expecting the timer to get louder, but the timer stays at whatever level was last set inside the Clock app itself.
Change Default Messaging App

If you close the Calendar app and it keeps running in the background, new appointments and logged calls on your Samsung phone often don't show up until you restart the app. Data saving mode, battery saving mode, and background restrictions in Samsung One UI can all block the automatic sync. Forcing a manual sync brings the calendar up to date without waiting for the next automatic refresh.
Turn Adaptive Battery On or Off
If notifications from an app you rarely open arrive late or not at all, Adaptive battery is probably holding that app in a deeper sleep state in the background. The feature only limits background activity for apps you barely use and leaves apps you open daily untouched. It has no effect on screen brightness or overall device performance, so switching it off will not speed up your phone.
Connect to Wi-Fi via QR Code
Typing out a long WLAN password on a guest's phone wastes time and usually ends in a typo or two. Samsung's Wi-Fi QR code scanner reads the network credentials straight from another device's shared code, so you skip manual entry completely. The catch: the other device has to generate and display that QR code first before your phone can scan it.
Allow or Mute Alarm and Notification Sounds During Calls
If alarms and notification sounds keep interrupting your calls, or you cannot hear them at all until you hang up, the Notify during calls option is behind it. This setting decides whether the phone plays alert sounds while a call is active or holds them back until you finish talking. Getting the behavior you actually want means knowing where this toggle lives and what it affects.
Set Date Manually
If the date field on your Samsung phone is greyed out, the device is still pulling the date from the mobile network. You need to turn off that automatic sync before you can pick a specific day, month or year yourself. This usually happens after a SIM swap, while traveling, or when testing an app that behaves differently on certain dates.
