Change or Remove Lock Screen App Shortcuts auf Samsung
On Samsung phones, the lock screen shows two app shortcuts by default: the phone app on the bottom left and the camera on the bottom right. These sit outside the actual security lock, so tapping them opens the app directly without unlocking the rest of the device.
That is convenient if you often call someone right after waking the screen or want the camera ready in one tap. It becomes a problem if you accidentally trigger the camera while pulling the phone out of your pocket, or if you would rather use that space for a different app.
Samsung lets you change both shortcuts individually, merge them into a single centered shortcut, or remove them from the lock screen completely. This setting lives inside the lock screen options, separate from the actual screen lock method, so changing it does not affect your PIN, pattern, or biometric security.
To adjust it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Lock screen ➔ Tap on Shortcuts ➔ Turn On/Off Shortcuts or tap on Left/Right shortcut ➔ Choose an option. From there you pick which app opens on each side, or disable shortcuts for a plain lock screen.
If shortcuts are missing entirely rather than just wrong, check whether they were switched off in this same menu before assuming a system issue.
