Add Apps to Secure Folder auf Samsung
Apps installed directly inside Secure Folder do not show up in your regular app list. Samsung keeps this container isolated, so system settings and search only display apps once you open the folder itself.
This separation is intentional. Secure Folder relies on Samsung Knox to keep work or private apps away from the rest of the device, including notifications, storage indexes, and the standard app drawer.
To move an app in, open Secure Folder first, then follow the built-in add flow: Tap on Secure Folder ➔ Tap on Add ➔ Choose one or more Apps ➔ Tap on Add. You can pick from apps already installed outside the folder or fetch a fresh copy from the Play Store or Galaxy Store.
If you add an app that already exists outside Secure Folder, Samsung installs a second, independent instance inside the container. Logins, data, and settings stay separate between the two copies.
Skip this feature if you only want to hide an app icon without isolating its data - a simpler home screen hide or app lock is usually enough. Use Secure Folder when you need separate storage, separate notifications, and a PIN-protected space for sensitive apps.
