Add a Wi-Fi Network Manually auf Samsung
When a wireless network does not show up in the Wi-Fi list, the router is usually configured to hide its SSID broadcast. Samsung phones running One UI can still connect to these networks, but only if you enter the network name and security details yourself instead of picking it from the scan results.
To add the network, open Settings ➔ Connections ➔ Wi-Fi ➔ Add network. Enter the exact SSID, choose the correct security type, add the password if required, and tap Save.
The SSID must match the router configuration exactly, including capitalization and spacing. If the network name or password contains a typing mistake, the phone will show a connection error even though the entry looks correct at first glance.
This manual method only helps for networks that exist but stay invisible due to hidden broadcast. If the network does not appear and also fails after adding it manually, the router itself may be out of range, powered off, or restricted to specific device types, which points to a router-side problem rather than a phone setting.
Manually added networks behave like any other saved network afterward. The phone reconnects automatically once it is in range, and you can edit or forget the entry later from the same Wi-Fi settings screen.
