Set Exceptions for Do Not Disturb Sounds and Alarms auf Samsung
When Do Not Disturb is active on a Samsung phone, the system already lets alarms and media sounds through by default. Calls, messages and reminders stay muted unless you add them manually.
This behavior comes from the Alarms and sounds section inside Do Not Disturb, where each category switches on or off independently. Open Settings ➔ Notifications ➔ Do not disturb ➔ Alarms and sounds to see every available exception.
Inside this menu, toggle Calls if certain contacts need to reach you, or turn on Reminders when scheduled tasks matter more than silence. Messages can be enabled the same way, letting SMS notifications bypass the mute.
Turning on too many exceptions defeats the purpose of Do Not Disturb, so only enable the categories you actually need during focus time. If calls from specific people must always come through, check whether the same screen also offers a starred contacts or repeated callers option.
Side effect: keeping Media turned on lets app sounds like music or videos stay audible, which can be distracting in quiet environments. Turn that toggle back off if unwanted sounds keep interrupting your Do Not Disturb sessions.
