Add an Alternative Face Look auf Samsung
Face recognition on Samsung phones compares your face against a single stored profile by default. Anything that changes your appearance enough, such as a new beard, glasses, a hat, or different lighting, can push the match below the threshold and force you back to your PIN or pattern.
Samsung addresses this with a second face profile called an alternative look. Once registered, the system checks incoming scans against both profiles, so either version of your face unlocks the phone.
How to add it
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Biometrics and security ➔ Tap on Face recognition. Confirm your identity with Enter the current Pattern, PIN or Password, then select Tap on Add alternative look. Choose Tap on Continue and follow the instructions on screen to scan your face in its current state.
Hold the phone at the same distance and angle you normally use to unlock it. Good, even lighting on your face improves the scan quality and reduces false rejections later.
If you switch appearance often, for example glasses on and off during the day, register the look you use most outside your main profile. Face recognition still works alongside your fingerprint or PIN, so those methods stay available if the scan fails.
