Wi-Fi Auto Reconnect Toggle auf Samsung
Samsung phones remember every wireless network you have connected to and try to rejoin them automatically once they are in range. This behavior is controlled by a single switch inside the Wi-Fi settings, not by the individual network entry itself.
If Auto reconnect is enabled, the device jumps back onto a saved network without asking, which is convenient at home but can be unwanted for guest networks or public hotspots you only want to use once. If it is disabled, every saved network shows up in the list but stays inactive until you tap it yourself.
To change the setting:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Connections ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Auto reconnect
This setting applies system-wide, so it affects all saved networks at once rather than a single access point. If only one specific network causes trouble, check whether it was accidentally removed from the saved list first, since a forgotten network cannot reconnect regardless of this toggle.
