Block Backward Redirections in Samsung Internet auf Samsung
Some websites insert extra entries into your browser history so that pressing Back does not take you to the page you actually visited before. Instead, you land on a sweepstakes page, a survey, or an ad that is hard to close. This trick is called a backward redirection, and Samsung Internet has a setting built specifically to block it.
The option lives in the browser's privacy settings, separate from general pop-up or ad blocking. Turning it on tells Samsung Internet to ignore history entries that a page tries to inject, so Back always returns you to the page you genuinely opened before.
Where to find the setting
Open Tap on Internet ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Privacy and security ➔ Enable or disable Block backward redirections.
Once enabled, the browser filters out fake history entries automatically, with no per-site confirmation needed. If a legitimate site occasionally relies on a redirect after you press Back, such as returning you to a login step, disabling the option temporarily can help you confirm whether it is the cause.
This setting only affects Samsung Internet. Other browsers installed on the same phone need their own anti-redirect protection, if available.
