Change Notification Sound auf Samsung
The notification sound on Samsung phones is controlled separately from the ringtone, even though both settings live in the same sound menu. One UI treats calls and notifications as two independent audio events, so changing one never affects the other.
On dual SIM devices, Samsung lets you assign a different notification tone to each SIM card. This helps you tell at a glance which line just received a message, but it also means the setup has to be repeated for every SIM you use.
Samsung only offers the built-in list of standard tones for notifications. There is no button here to browse personal audio files or add extra tones, so anyone who wants a custom sound needs a separate app-specific tone picker outside this menu.
To change the tone, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Sounds and vibration ➔ Tap on Notification sound ➔ Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM) ➔ Set a Notification sound. Selecting a tone plays a short preview automatically, so you can compare options before confirming your choice.
If notifications stay silent even after picking a new sound, check Do Not Disturb and app-specific notification channels first. Both can override the general tone selected in Sounds and vibration.
