Clear App Cache auf Samsung
Every app on your Samsung phone keeps a small storage area called the app cache. It holds temporary files such as thumbnails, login tokens, or previously loaded content so the app opens faster next time.
Problems appear when this cache holds outdated or broken data. This is especially common right after an app update, when the app expects a new data structure but still finds old cached files. The result can be a frozen screen, a crash on launch, missing images, or content that never refreshes.
Clearing the cache forces the app to rebuild these temporary files from scratch. Your logins, saved settings, and personal data inside the app stay untouched, since cache and app data are stored separately.
Menu path
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Choose an App ➔ Tap on Storage ➔ Tap on Clear cache. The app is ready to use immediately afterward, no restart required.
If clearing the cache does not fix the issue, the problem likely sits in the app data itself, not the cache. In that case, clearing app data or reinstalling the app is the next step, though this will log you out and reset in-app settings.
Some apps rebuild large caches quickly, others take longer to reload images or offline content the next time you open them. This is normal and not a sign of a new problem.
