Connect to a Wi-Fi Network auf Samsung
If your Samsung phone shows no internet access or keeps disconnecting from your home router, the Wi-Fi network probably isn't paired correctly yet or a saved profile with an old password is blocking a new connection.
Samsung stores every Wi-Fi network you join, including its password, security type and whether the device should reconnect automatically when back in range. This is managed inside the Connections menu, not in the general system settings, which is why it's easy to overlook on first setup.
How to add or reconnect a Wi-Fi network
Open Settings ➔ Connections ➔ Wi-Fi, then choose the network from the list of available networks. Enter the password and tap Connect. Samsung saves the credentials afterward, so the phone joins the same network automatically the next time it's in range.
If the network doesn't appear in the list, move closer to the router or confirm it's broadcasting its name. For hidden networks, use the manual option and enter the exact network name and security type yourself.
A saved but outdated password is a frequent reason for failed connections. Removing the old entry under Wi-Fi and rejoining with the current password usually fixes this faster than restarting the router.
