Filter the Contact List by Account auf Samsung
When contacts from Google, Samsung Cloud, and the SIM card all sync into one list, the Contacts app shows every entry side by side. That default view can make searching for a specific person during a call or while composing a message unnecessarily slow, especially if you keep separate address books for work and personal use.
Samsung ties the visible contact list to an account filter inside the Contacts app itself, not to the individual account settings in the system. Switching this filter only changes what displays on the phone screen and in the picker used for Calls and Messages, it does not delete or unsync any contacts in the background.
To adjust it, tap Contacts, open the Menu, tap All contacts, then choose an account to filter the contact list. You can pick a single account, such as Google or the SIM card, or keep several checked to combine them into a shorter list.
If you only want to hide SIM contacts temporarily, this filter is the right tool. If entries are missing entirely rather than just hidden, check the account sync settings instead, since a disabled sync removes contacts from the source rather than from the display filter.
