Customize Lock Screen Notification Style auf Samsung
On Samsung phones running One UI, the lock screen notification style is controlled by a dedicated display setting, separate from the general notification permissions for each app.
By default, One UI shows notifications as small icons on the lock screen to save space and limit what visitors or bystanders can read at a glance. This is a privacy-first setting, but it also means you cannot see who sent a message or what an alert is about without unlocking the phone first.
Switching to the detailed view shows sender names, message previews, and app content directly on the lock screen. This is useful if you check your phone often and want context before unlocking, but it does expose more information to anyone who can see your screen.
You can adjust this under Tap on Settings ➤ Tap on Lock screen ➤ Tap on Notifications ➤ Choose Icons only or Details ➤ Adjust the desired Option. The detailed mode also offers a background transparency option, letting you keep some visual separation from your wallpaper without fully hiding content.
If privacy in public spaces is a bigger concern than convenience, keep the icon-only setting and instead check notifications through the notification panel after unlocking.
